A filmmaker collects her father and uncle’s family histories, as they recount early life in Zimbabwe in the 1950s. The film tracks her father’s path of immigration from Zimbabwe to the UK, as the first Black African Rhodes Scholar. We begin with the story of a goat, Vhuramai, a tale of Zimbabwean folklore shared during the filmmaker’s first meeting with her uncle when she was 8 years old. This was also her father and uncle’s first meeting in 28 years.
